Here's my review/reaction of the latest movies I've watched (in no particular order). For reviews only: I will also add here my review/reaction from the US TV shows that I watch. My grade would be from 1 to 5. 1. Suicide Squad  (2016 | Action | US) Review: It's still on the DCEU - dark (some too dimmed action scenes). It's is also, like BvS , poorly edited, fast-paced, and messy (thanks to a big number of characters). What saved this movie is that it's load of fun scenes. Margot Robbie & Will Smith were both great as Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Viola Davis is striking as Amanda Waller. Jared Leto's Joker is a creepy one. He's iteration of Joker is way far from Heath Ledger which is interesting. Perhaps a longer screen time in the future would be needed. The movie's villain is not that compelling. Here's my review/reaction of the latest movies I've watched (in no particular order). For reviews only: I will also add here my review/reaction from the US TV shows that I watch. My grade would be from 1 to 5. [SPOILERS BELOW]  1. Finding Dory  (2016| Animation | US) Although not as high as Finding Dory/Inside Out, Pixar does it again. Finding Dory is fun, sweet and nostaligic. Ellen Degeneres brings out the best in Dory. All the supporting characters did great. And the [SPOILERS] end credits scene was fun! Love to see all the previous characters in this movie. It is clearly a strong (not super strong) sequel to a 'legacy'.  Grade:  4/5 2. My grade would be from 1 to 5. [SPOILERS BELOW] 1. X-Men: Apocalypse  (2016| Action | US) Last night, we watched the 3D screening of Apocalypse . It's visually great. The 'new' characters are great. Sophie Turner's Jean Grey is one. Evan Peter's Quicksilver once again steals the spotlight.  Meanwhile, Apocalypse is a so-so villain. The big three in DOFP (Mystique, Professor X and Magneto) were given a not so great plots, most especially   Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique. The highlight turned into the newbies. Overall, X-Men Apocalypse is a great addition to the franchise. Sadly, it's coming out after Days of Future Past which is amazing and Captain America: Civil War  which is also a Marvel movie. My grade would be from 1 to 5. 1.  Kung Fu Panda 3 Review: On its third outing, 'Kung Fu Panda 3' still shines (story and visuals) although this is not as strong as the previous entries. Rating: 3/5 2. The Big Bang Theory  - Season 9, Episode 17 : The Celebration Experimentation Review : In its 200th episode, The Big Bang Theory draws big laughs but not a big heart. Rating: 3/5

My grade would be from 1 to 5. 1. My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore Review: This is an average MMFF movie. Although read by a great cast (Aldub was okay, not great), My Bebe Love suffers from a uneven plot and product placements.  Grade: 2/5

Joy  (movie, US | Semi-biographical, Drama | 2015) Review : It may not reach the heights of Director Russel's work, Joy is still a great movie thanks to its fast-paced story and another great performance of Jennifer Lawrence. Grade: 3.5/5 2. Bridge of Spies  (movie, US | Historical-Drama, Thriller | 2015) Review: Steven Spielberg + Tom Hanks = Another great movie. A historical drama-thriller worthy to watch. My grade would be from 1 to 5. 1. Heneral Luna (Movie, PH | Biopic | 2015) Review: Finally, a movie for both critics and mainstream moviegoers to enjoy. Heneral Luna is dark, bold and surprisingly fun dramatization of the story of one of the greatest generals in the country. Grade: 4/5

Spectre Here's my short review/reaction of the latest movies I've watched (in no particular order). For reviews only: I will also add here my review/reaction from the US TV shows that I watch. My grade would be from 1 to 5. 1. Spectre (Movie, US | Action | 2015) Review : A more classic Bond than the latest style of Bond but it is still a good one, not just great as Skyfall . Grade: 3/5

My grade would be from 1 to 5. 1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Movie, US | Adventure | 2015) Review : Easily one of the best Star Wars (way above the prequel series and leveling the original series) to date. It is thrilling, action-packed and FUN (which has lost in the prequel series). Overall, it is a great foundation for the latest trilogy. Congrats J.J. Abrams! You nailed it! Score: 4.5/5  2. Skyfall (Movie, US | Action | 2012) Review: Personally, this is my best Bond movie. What else can I say in this sexy-thrilling chapter of 007? Score: 4.5/5

A Second Chance (Movie, PH | Romance | 2015) Review: Although I felt rushed, A Second Chance is above the usual romantic-drama movies of Star Cinema.It features a more complex plot (marriage) which I think Star Cinema hasn't done yet. Score: 3.5/5 2. X-Men: Days of Future Past (Movie, US | Action | 2014) Review: For me, this is the best X-Men movie yet. It has a well-constructed plot (to serve both the old and new actors) and a fast pace (so, go to the bathroom before watching!) which keeps the viewers alive throughtout the movie. Score: 4/5 3.
