Vivamax building momentum; hits 600,000 subscribers

And we have the results. During their virtual press conference on August 19, Viva Communications Inc. has reported that their streaming service Vivamax has hit 600,000 subscribers since its launch last February 2021. It's not clear, however, if these are all active paying subscribers to the service. Despite this, it's a strong testament that the local-led streaming market is growing in the country. The numbers are likely helped by the original content produced by the service that garnered controversies online such as Daryl Yap's Tililing and Gusto Kong Maging Porn Star and it's choice to lean on more adult-face such as Taya and 69+1 .
