Here's myreview/reaction of the latest movies I've watched (in no particular order). For reviews only: I will also add here my review/reaction from the US TV shows that I watch. I must say we were an (or atleast I am) enthusiastic crowd. But let's move on to my review: WARNING: It may contain spoilers from the movie

#WhoWillWin? It's Warner Bros. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opened to PHP 86.6 million. That's the biggest single day opening gross in the country beating last year's Avengers: Age of Ultron 's PHP 72.7 million (though Age of Ultron  opened on Wednesday while Dawn of Justice  opened on Saturday). It is also the highest grossing single day gross for a movie in the country, beating Age of Ultron 's PHP 83.2 million. Again, it has beaten Age of Ultron 's PHP 83.2 million for the highest grossing Saturday gross ever. Over the past few years, Easter weekend has become a great time for opening a movie and Dawn of Justice  continues to prove that. Despite bad reviews, people still flocked to see the first on-screen together appearance of these characters though it remains to be seen how Filipinos would react to the movie. Dawn of Justice The battle is finally coming. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice  arrives in Philippine theaters this Black Saturday. The superhero pic will also open in all countries in the world including China. Marketing has been strong. Product tie-in continues to increase leading up to the release date (With Petron & Smart leading of the TV ads). Can the movie accomplish the target of Warner Bros.?

Batman  from the LEGO Movie, the 2014 surprise hit, is getting his own movie! Starring Will Arnett as the Dark Knight and directed by Chris McKay. The trailer features the Batcave and the Justice League in action. Woah! This shows that the LEGO Batman Movie will feature the Justice League earlier  than the live action Justice League movie! The Divergent Series: Allegiant opened last Wednesday (March 9) in the country. According to  Deadline , the sci-fi chalked up $ 140k in 160 screens (PHP 6.58 million). That's a fine opening. Meanwhile, in overseas total, the industry is projecting a $ 30-40 million opening in 45 markets. Allegiant stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller & Ansel Elgort. It is now showing in PH theaters nationwide!

Who You Gonna Call? They're back! After thirty years, Director Paul Feig revives the supernatural comedy with an all-female cast - Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wigg, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones with Chris Hemsworth.Watch the new trailer here: Ghostbusters  will be in PH theaters this July 2016. 

Ellen Degeneres Show  has just dropped the official full trailer for Disney Pixar's Finding Dory  starring Ellen Degeneres as Dory. The whole gang is also expected to return. Also, new characters will be added like Destiny, a whale shark voiced by Kaitlin Olson (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) Have You Seen Her? The graduation season is here! But the movie world is not stopping. In fact, three big huge are scheduled to be released this March. Let's take a look at their box office prospects: Kung Fu Panda 3, March 9 The weight is over! Kung Fu Panda returns on its third outing. Animated Movies tend to do good in any month of the year. The Divergent Series: Allegiant, March 9 The Divergent  series has been a solid performer in the country and Allegiant  will be no exception but look for another drop on its box office (here in the country and in the US) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice , March 26 Yes, it will be a hit. But how high?  Man of Steel opened huge but fell big on its second week, thanks to the negative word-of-mouth and huge competition. BvS is looking to reverse the two but it might be hard. cast of Gods of Egypt Box Office Mojo is reporting a PHP 115 million opening for Zoolander No. 2 but Deadline.com  is reporting a $ 3.2 million (est. 140+ million) overseas gross of Zoolander No. 2  for this weekend so the numbers are likely to be inflated. It may be the first 'flop' of 2016 but there is a strong interest here in the country for Gods of Egypt . The fantasy pic debuted at 1st place with PHP 81 million. That's a strong opening for an original pic here in the country. This proves that the reviews and negative buzz over the film didn't stop the moviegoers to watch the pic. Social engagement for the movie has been strong in the country.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice  has began selling tickets yesterday in the United States. According to  Movie Pilot , the movie is already no. 1 in its trending charts (which is really  not surprising). Warner Bros. has also released new stickers on its Facebook page. There are also reports saying that Gal Gadot's 'Wonder Woman' stole the show in the movie. My grade would be from 1 to 5. 1.  Kung Fu Panda 3 Review: On its third outing, 'Kung Fu Panda 3' still shines (story and visuals) although this is not as strong as the previous entries. Rating: 3/5 2. The Big Bang Theory  - Season 9, Episode 17 : The Celebration Experimentation Review : In its 200th episode, The Big Bang Theory draws big laughs but not a big heart. Rating: 3/5

This is one exciting movie teamup for the summer! John Lloyd Cruz and Jennylyn Mercado in "Just The 3 Of Us." In the film, Jennylyn is a girl with a huge crush on John Lloyd's character.
