'Finally Found Someone' opens to PHP 20M; opening lower than 'It Takes A Man and A Woman'

Beside the KathNiel, LizQuen, and AlDub, the Sarah Geronimo-John Lloyd Cruz tandem remains one of the strongest tandem in the box office. Their lastest offering Finally Found Someone proves this.


The romantic comedy opened to PHP 20 million. That's lower than their last team-up movie It Takes A Man and A Woman (PHP 32.6 million) but one must note that It Takes was the 'concluding' movie in a trilogy which brought a lot of hype. This one is a solo original movie although it is a little disappointing considering the ticket inflation and the star power of the two. Surprise hit Kita Kita might have also stealed some audience away from this.  On the good side, this opening was higher than the recent movies of the stars (Cruz's Just the 3 of Us opened to PHP 16 million while Geronimo's The Breakup Playlist opened to PHP 15 million).
