MMFF Forecast (Part 2): 'My Bebe Love' targets MMFF records

UPDATE (12|23|15): I've adjusted up my forecast for My Bebe Love from 460 million to 480 million.

Analysis: My Bebe Love: #Kilig Pa More brings back the tandem of Ai Ai Delas Alas and Vic Sotto which made Enteng ng Ina Mo the highest grossing movie of 2011 (though it was a crossover for two successful franchise). It will also be the first film of the 'Aldub' love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. On one look at its poster, there's no doubt that it would be a hit. But, can it bring its fans to theaters? How high can it go?

The Aldub love team has become a phenomenon. It has given Eat Bulaga (Kalyserye) a huge boost in ratings. Most brands on the country features the love team or either of them. Their Twitter buzz is marvelous. The love team can fill a 50,000 arena. But now, their buzz has calmed but it is still strong.

The first film of a hit love team over the past few years has been mixed. Must Be Love, Kathniel's first movie (not inclusding 24/7 In Love), earned a decent PHP 62 million. Diary ng Panget, JaDine's first movie was a hit, earning PHP 120 million, but this was largely thanks to the huge fanbase of the hit Wattpad Book. Just the Way You Are (LizQuen's first movie) was a success too, earning more than PHP 100 million. This was due to their fresh hit series Forevermore. All of these movies were not release during the MMFF.
 I see that this movie will play like 2013's My Little Bossings which featured Ryzza Mae Dizon (in time of breakout fame) and features Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto. Even it was critically panned, the movie earned a massive PHP 390+ million. Thanks to it being an 'event' movie of 2013. And My Bebe Love is the new 'event' movie for MMFF 2015. This also shows that even this movie receives negative reviews from both critics and audiences, the movie will still be a huge hit.

Movie tickets has risen a little from 2013 to 2015. Using the gross of Little Bossings, we can say that this will earn at 430-450 million. It is also on track to   But, we cannot say how strong their fans are right now. So, my forecast is at 450-470 million thus becoming the highest grossing film in the MMFF history.

What could stop it from doing this? Bad Word-of-Mouth
I said above that the bad reviews will not hurt this movie. What if it will hurt it? My Little Bossings' sequel My Big Bossings suffered a massive drop in grosses. What if audiences will flee faster than before?
