MMFF 2016 Official Standings: 'Die Beautiful' tops Metro Manila theaters; 'Vince and Kath and James' tops Provincial theaters

The MMFF season has ended and the MMFF committee decline to release the box office data of the entries but they have released their official stadings in both Metro Manila and Provincial theaters. Here they are:

Metro Manila Theaters:
1. Die Beautiful

3. Vince and Kath and James
4. Saving Sally
5. Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2
6. Sunday Beauty Queen
7. Oro
8. Kabisera

Provincial Theaters:
1. Vince and Kath and James
2. Seklusyon
3. Die Beautiful
4. Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2
5. Saving Sally
6. Sunday Beauty Queen
7. Oro
8. Kabisera

Notes: Being the talk of the town, Die Beautiful and Seklusyon lead Metro Manila theaters beating Vince & Kath & James. Meanwhile, the Star Cinema romantic feature still managed to lead the Provincial theaters. Saving Sally impressively defeated Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2 in Metro Manila. Online petitions and buzz seemed to help this one to leg out. This year's MMFF Best Picture Sunday Beauty Queen climbed to Number 6 in both Metro Manila and Provincial theaters. Its win obviously helped this previously Number 8 entry to find audience.
